Annual Inspections

Our Annual Fire Extinguisher Inspection Includes

Verify that extinguisher is in proper location and unobstructed
Ensure the operating instructions on nameplate are legible and facing outward
Verify fullness by weighing or “hefting”
Examination for obvious physical damage, corrosion, leakage, or clogged nozzle
Ensure the pressure gauge indicator is in the operable range or position
Perform lock pin pull test and replace tamper seal
Install an annual inspection tag that accommodates your monthly safety check-off

An annual fire extinguisher maintenance check by a specially trained individual provides reasonable assurance that the fire extinguisher will operate if needed.  It is also intended to ensure that the extinguisher is in place, unobstructed and fully charged and operable.

Portable fire extinguishers are mechanical devices that require periodic maintenance to help ensure that they'll operate when you need them most.  Eagle Fire Safety's service technicians are thoroughly trained, licensed professionals.  With employees extinguishing over 90% of the fires in commercial facilities with hand operated portable fire extinguishers, don't leave your business or employees at risk; have your life safety equipment professionally serviced at the very least, annually.

Our Annual Emergency Lighting Inspection Includes

90 minute functional test
Battery sulfation test
Cleaning & adjustment of lighting units
Check battery output voltage
Check line voltage to remote fixtures
Check battery charging voltage
Place test label on unit & record test of unit test log

The emergency lighting units within your facility provide for a lighted exit path from any point within your building to an exit discharge.  The National Fire Protection Association's Life Safety Code 101 sets forth the record keeping and test intervals for emergency lighting units.

Did you know that no portable fire extinguisher is suitable for use on all fires?

Did you know that exit signs should be positioned so that no point in the exit access is more than 100 feet from the nearest visible sign?
